Fainted on Extended fasting

I finally got the time to update you about my EXTENDED FASTING AND BREASTFEEDING here. I had an unfortunate episode of fainting while I was on duty. Before the incident, I was having mild to severe headaches. However, I do note that it always occurs whenever I am pumping at work or when I reached home after a long day. I concluded that it could be because I am overwork or stress; thus, I ignored it. When I woke up that day, I do feel a bit lightheaded with a mild headache. However, I brushed it off and continued my day as per usual with my activities. Upon reaching work, my headache was getting severe. Finally, I told myself that it could be the hot weather and told myself to drink more water. I did my first pump session and my god, my head was spinning and throbbing! I got worried and quickly took some painkillers. I told myself that it is probably because of my pumping as I read that it could cause headaches at times. The whole day at work, I told myself to take things easy for the day. My headaches subsided after an hour later. Things got crazy after my second pump. Upon finishing my pump, I started seeing spots. I got worried! But I keep telling myself that it got to be the quantity of my milk as it seemed more recently. I went to the toilet, and I realized that my headache was getting worst. After that, I could hardly go to the bathroom. I decided to rest my head on my desk. Resting my head causes my head to spin! I quickly lifted my head and decided to carry on with my day. I went over to my deployment for the day, and that is where everything happened. Upon reaching, I told my colleague that I do not think I can take my headache any longer. I felt like my whole head is exploding! I could not even focus on whatever I am doing. The last thing I remembered was telling my colleague that I need to lie down. Everything went blurry after that! The next moment, I realized that I am on a hospital bed! After running a few tests from my blood work, the doctor got alarmed at how low my sugar levels were. They quickly put me on IV Drip! They also attempted to serve me a glass of sugar water. Unfortunately, it was too sweet for me to handle that I vomited it out! The doctor was puzzled by the levels of everything. It is not just my sugar, but almost everything was dangerously low! The doctor asked about my diet and all; I had no choice but to be informed about my keto lifestyle and Intermittent fasting. The doctor seemed to be upset with my choice of lifestyle. The doctor instructed the nurses to provide food for me almost immediately upon hearing it. I had no choice but to eat. The doctor explained that Keto is not a healthy diet, and fasting is an absolute no for breastfeeding mom! I informed the doctor that I have been adapting to Keto and IF for eight months while breastfeeding. The first episode of fainting! Why has it not been earlier? The doctor explained that eight months were fully breastfeeding baby can drink minimally 1 liter of milk from me. The doctor explained that I need heaps of carbs, sugar, and fatty food to sustain my daily activities. The absence of food and lack of nutrients could bring my body to shut down completely. My fourth child, if you must know, I was clueless! Lol! I was discharged on the same day as my #ketobaby needs to be direct latch at night to sleep. I started to eat my carbs for the next few days. My body truly does not like the carbs I was loading in. It does help with my headaches, but I feel awful. I decided to keep to Keto but without fasting. I struggled to eat three times per day as my body is so accustomed to #omad and #extendedfasting. So I keep eating at least twice a day now. At times, I will also include #ketotreats in one meal. It has been two months since my episode, and I am happy to report that I have zero headaches and introducing intermittent fasting soon. Nonetheless, I will be more vigilant of my body reactions! I will keep you updated!
