After I been 3 weeks on keto, I haven't lost that much weight, but when I try to eat calamari that was breaded and fried in vegetable oil, it lately kill me, my stomach was kind in a huge fire ball that I couldn't control… this reaction I had told me that I was doing the right thing for my body, and I will never eat carbs the same way again as I don't want to feel this horrible stomachache again, when I see all those hight carb foods on TV, I feel that I have to go puke ???? and how could I eat this for so long… So yes I'm doing keto because I want to be healthy and I know I am on the right path.

  2. I’ve been in ketosis for 3 weeks about to finish a month now on the keto diet and I feel great! Besides having a sinus infection right now lol. But I’ve lost 18 lbs and am so much more alert and awake, even though it’s been really hard for me to fall asleep because I’m not loading up on carbs and falling asleep and I’m also just more awake lol.

    But I haven’t cheated once, and I’m recently incorporating almond flour just as a light “breading” for asparagus and I’ve had monk fruit sweetener on shaved almonds twice lol. That’s about as much as I “cheat”. Keto is great because you have a medical reason that keeps you from cheating. Your body is actually doing something really amazing and if you cheat and kick out of ketosis you have to start all over which is just a bigger motivator not to cheat imo.

I have been keto for more than two years (I was prediabetic and 25 kg heavier than I am now) and I have never felt the necessity to cheat because I have made a lot of delicious keto recipes (I love to eat well). I have always my goal in mind: I don't want to be a diabetes victim, like my father and grandmother. I want to do all I can to remain healthy as long as possible, and keto is perfect for me.

  5. Understanding that we all mourn and therefore avoid loss (even if it is unhealthy weight and bad habits) and changing to a mindset of creating a healthy life made all the difference for me.

  8. Excellent reminder regarding "failure"! You're not a failure, when you don't quit! Keto is so much more than weight loss. Keto is the "permanent solution"!!????
